Dear Scouts, Scouters and Families,
It is with great excitement and anticipation that we extend this invitation to all of you to participate in “Maine Jam ’07.” The Pine Tree Council will be hosting this “Brownsea Centennial Celebration” to bring together all of our Scouts and their families to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of Scouting in England. This event promises to have something for everybody!
Through the Maine National Guard, we have a commitment to help the support the “Maine Jam ‘07” with logistics, equipment displays, demonstrations and much more! Many more community and service organizations such as the Maine State Police, the U. S. Army and more will be on hand to support Scouting!
After reading this “Maine Jam ‘07” guide, you will see that many hours of planning have already taken place to assure there will be something for everyone. There will be a terrific arena show on Saturday night, stage shows throughout the day on Saturday, a merit badge midway, shooting sports, games, Trailblazer Day for our Cub Scouts, demonstrations, Scouting displays, a trading post, and lots of other activities!
Be sure to mark you calendars now for “Maine Jam ‘07” on October 19th – 21st at the Oxford Fairgrounds. You won’t want to miss out on this outstanding event, we promise it will have something for everybody!
